    Horror
    If you write in more than one area, what is your next most favoured genre?
    Experimental
    Are your reading habits ...?
    Omnivorous
    Who is your favourite author(s)?
    changes with mood
    And your seven all time favourite books? (You can change these at any time, by the way ...)

    Disciplined
    Are you the edit-every-sentence-ten-times type, or do you prefer to let rip?
    Prefer to let rip and edit afterwards
    Your ultimate writing ambition?
    To hear, many years in the future, that an up-and-coming novelist says he/she has been inspired by my work. Oh, and to get rich, obviously.
    Your worst habit?
    Scratching my arse in public.
    Your opinion on the books industry?
    It is a tough game, but everyone does their best
    Where do you write?
    On paper, generally.
    What else do you want Word Clouders to know? eg: do you have 9 cats / like paragliding / eat nothing but tinned fish / work in the bath / live in Kettering?
    I used to live on traveller sites, busking with my guitar to make a living. But the travelling life goes nowhere (ironically) so, as I don't want to end up as a tramp, I decided to become a 'citizen'. I now drive buses for a living, which is Hell.

Maybe it's because I use Works rather than Word, which can't be helped cos it's what my computer came with. I tried works-to-word translation program from microsoft, but it didn't work either. In the words of Catweasle: Nothing works!

    Don't give up, we all had those moments.
    Try this way:
    Click start, mouse over "all programs", select "Accessory" (not sure if Microsoft uses that word, just look for the equivalent), then select Editor ... that brings up your notepad.
    Hope this helped ;)

    No, it's defly me! Couldn't even open my notepad, I am so lame! I'm a complete beginner at this, until I got a o2 modem last week I'd just been using the word processor like an electric typewriter. I can cut and paste within a document, but that's all. It took me a couple of days of trying just to upload my photo onto this site. I would love to share my story with y'all, but I'm thoroughly stuck!

    I may be repeating what someone else has told you , but just in case they haven't ... The easiest way to post is to go to the forum tab at the top. One of the first entries is critique. Go into there, and it is self explanatory from there, there is a tab saying post a new ... Just copy and paste. If it is not pasting properly, it is the cloud, not you. Copy normally, open your computer notepad (start, then type in notepad) paste it onto the notepad, and then copy and paste to the cloud from there. Apparantly that strips all the settings the cloud doesn't like. Hope that helps.

    ps - to post stuff for crtitquing, go to Forum/Critiques/Create New. That way more people will read your material and you should get more comments, although that's not guaranteed!

    SONG OF THE STRANGE VISITORS
    We who wait in the long shadows
    And ride upon the cold night winds;
    We who follow in the dark,
    And rise up in glory in lonely dreams;
    We are not cruel, not evil;
    We are not kind, nor merciful;
    Our power is like that of running water.
    We gain entry through mirrors
    And take our shapes from the fears of those who wander
    Alone in the wild places.
    We are sent by those whose purposes are beyond your imagining.

    This is hilarious - you should blog the whole thing, then we'll let you rest in peace! I'll maybe stick some poetry on at some point. You go first.
